#TheClientList S1E10 “Past Is Prologue” Finale Review
So I’m not sure if you guys have picked up on this, but Genie loves romance, so you can guess that I was totally ecstatic when Evan and Riley finally kissed. I was totally pissed though when Kyle came back, who does he think he is? He disappears then he just shows back up when he feels like, not acceptable. As I said in the last blog I hope Riley does not give him another chance and that she divorces him and dates Evan. Many other things took place in the last episode that were shocking but lets see what this episode has in store.
First of all I am totally proud of Riley for being strong and not even giving Kyle the time of day, he does not deserve it after what he did.

Georgia really knows how to have a good time, I’ll give her that.

Georgia has the right thing in mind to leave town I just hope she leaves in time and that she makes sure than all the girl just do legit massages until the police stops hunting her down, Eric Mabius’ character really seems to be causing a lot of issues for Georgia and by extension this is going to cause trouble for all the girls. On a good note Georgia trusting Riley to run the spa is cool, well as long as all the trouble that is supposed to come down on Georgia doesn’t end up coming down on Riley instead.

That imbecile Kyle annoys me every time I see him in a scene, then he opens his mouth and I get even more upset, what does this dead-beat mean he doesn’t know if he’s back for good? Why come back at all unless you are sure? You already left her once for a year and you are really saying there’s a possibility you might leave her again? Then you ask Dale how you can ‘make’ her listen to you. Kyle astounds me. Somebody needs to punch or smack him in this episode, it just need to happen, the man isn’t even explaining why he left and I doubt any explanation would be good enough anyway but he should at least give one.

I can’t believe Earl just died on the table like that, I can’t imagine this will be good especially with all the attention the rub is seemingly getting with the police on the lookout.

My gosh, it seems Ruth really hated Earl, can’t say I didn’t chuckle at her reaction when she heard he was dead, but he seemed like such a nice old man. Poor Earl, rest in peace. Then when Ruth started to talk about Bud I almost fell off my chair, she’s a riot. Well at least it seems they are out of the woods for any trouble that might have sprang from Earl dying in the spa, for now that is.

Seriously Kyle? Using the children to get to Riley, how crafty. Does he realise he will only end up hurting the children when it goes sour? He’s just such an imbecile.

And as I predicted it did end up going sour, because Kyle did not even know his own daughter was allergic to peanut butter, why? Because he left his whole family without a word for a whole year. What a stand-up guy (sarcasm).
I knew Kyle’s explanation for leaving was going to suck, how can he not realise that he packed his bag and left? And even if he didn’t come back right after he supposedly realised even 1 day later wouldn’t have been as bad or maybe even a week, but a whole year, then now he expects to just waltz back in? Please Evan, punch him.

And he came so close too. But the way it went down it wouldn’t have been as satisfying to hit him right then.

I love Lacey and Riley’s relationship, they seem like such close friends.

Lacey approves of Evan and I do too, I mean who wouldn’t, that guy is perfect. She was just as ecstatic as I was, except she went as far as thinking coitus took place, too hilarious.

I love when Riley put Selena in her place, that girl love to run her mouth way too much.
Now what is that police guy doing there again, this can’t be good.

Kyle really has the gall to say it was hard for him? He was the one that left? Who told him to leave his family? That imbecile. Then he says Riley was hard to come back to. Is he psychotic? Riley should have punched him, but those hard shoves were satisfying enough, he’s lucky Lacey came and broke it up.

Sorry to say but I wanted Kyle to see Riley and Evan together so he can know what pain feels like, after what he did to his family he deserves it and both Riley and Evan deserve to be happy, so Kyle just needs to go take an assigned seat, I’m totally glad Riley is still in a good place with Evan, so maybe next season we will see their relationship develop even more, that will make Genie very happy.

When Georgia called Riley I felt it in my bones that it wasn’t something good and that it might have had to do with the book she told Riley to hide, I was hoping it wasn’t bad, but knowing how shows are they always have to end with a cliff-hanger. Let’s just say I was right about there being a cliff-hanger and exactly the one I thought it would be and of course that police dude had to be a part of it, though I must confess it would have had me even more anxious if it was Eric Mabius’ character who came on the scene, but then he isn’t a cop so that wouldn’t really happen.

In all honesty, after Kyle’s more detailed explanation and reason for coming back, I’m still mad at him, in my opinion he could have tried to get psychological help with the support of his family instead of hightailing it out of town without so much as a note, so I still hope Riley does not go back to him, at the very least she should explore the relationship with Evan to see if he is right for her and in my opinion he’s better for her than Kyle.
I seriously cannot wait for next season, this show turned out way better than I thought it would have been. Every part of this finale was entertaining, never had a low moment.
