The Vampire Diaries 4X22 “The Walking Dead” Review

I pretty much agreed with what Stefan said to Elena as evidenced by my last review, her choice in a target was horrendous, makes sense emotionally but logically it’s pretty imbecilic because of all the reasons I outlined in the last review.  I’m pretty sure Stefan is training her to bide the time because I don’t think any amount of training is going to help her kill Catherine.

I found myself rooting that Bonnie’s plan would work without any hitches but I was pretty sure some hitches would present themself.

I loved that the first person we saw when Bonnie let the veil down was Alaric.

The age old question of who Elena has feelings for the most of course had to be brought up in this episode, I’m honestly dying to see which one she chooses or if she doesn’t choose any, but the uncertainty is kind of annoying.

I’m pretty annoyed that after all that’s gone down we still haven’t gotten to see Silas’ face, I guess I shouldn’t have accepted the grotesque theory so quickly, now it makes me wonder if it wasn’t for grotesqueness then why doesn’t he want to show his face?

Just when we thought Bonnie had sense for once, she let us down and caused her own death, this is one of those many times she should have listened to Grams but hey at least she paved the way for some more plot lines, now they will have to find a new witch because I’m pretty sure they’ll want to put the veil back up.

I wonder if we’ll het a check in with Klaus next week, I mean we do know that there are witches there so maybe some of our friends from mystic falls will pay them a visit.

Spartacus: War of the Damed Series Finale Review “Victory”

I must say coming into this episode I expected a bitter-sweet end, that is, I knew it would be epic but I also anticipated the death of spartacus because at it’s core this series has stayed true to the history of spartacus.  I must say though that I’m happy that spartacus would fall to someone like Crassus and not Glaber.

The beginning of the episode really shed light on the fact that spartacus’ movement has far surpassed the man himself, so it makes complete sense that they use his name to continue to place fear on the hearts of the romans.

I was also glad to see that Crassus didn’t allow his loss of Tiberius to cloud his judgement, he still is not underestimating Spartacus.

As suspected Gannicus does hold Sybil in his heart which is giving him even more incentive to want to help Spartacus but he still doesn’t seem to embrace that he is as much an integral part of the movement as spartacus is, will he live on to take the leadership roll after the final battle ensues and spartacus meets his demise?  Was a question I asked myself as I watched the episode.  If you’ve watched any of my previous vlogs you would have heard me mention that I think Sybil would be a good thing for Gannicus and in his own words he did say that she was sent to save him and not the other way around, to me that’s proof that she did make him want to become a better man.

Kore made a brave move surrendering herself to go back with Caesar to Crassus but I guess she knew that he wouldn’t kill her because of his love for her as farfetched as it seems though I do wish that he would forgive her.  Since the introduction of Crassus, Kore has been one of the things that make us see his softer side and part of what has made me appeal to his character, that and the fact that he never underestimated spartacus and also had himself trained by a gladiator, he doesn’t see gladiators like the other romans and that makes him admirable.  It was nice to see him preparing himself to face off with spartacus in battle, though if I’m to think about it, it’s almost not a fair fight because spartacus has been fighting all along and has amassed injuries, etc, while crassus has just been waiting for the final stand.

I was brought to tears when spartacus gave the parting speech, it was really touching to see the love the people have for spartacus.

Crassus bringing the fire balls to the battle was overkill in my opinion, I think he went from underestimating spartacus to overestimating spartacus, I guess an honourable battle went out the back door when tiberius died? Then when he sent the scout to summon spartacus I was thinking hmm Crassus has something up his sleeve now, because it made no sense to me that he was prepping himself to face off with spartacus when he brought those fire balls which could end spartacus before he even got to fight with him.  I must say the talk between crassus and spartacus was very exciting, we got to actually see the similsrities between both men up close and I bet they both saw that in another life they probably could have been friends, the handshake at the end just proves the twisted connection they now have.

I figured the truth about Kore and Tiberius would come out at some point I just didn’t envision it would be through spartacus but that was only because I didn’t forsee Crassus having a talk with him before battle, I too thought that Kore should have told him because even though his faith in tiberius was strengthened at the time I think he would have beleived Kore over tiberius, what he would have done about it I’m not sure but I don’t doubt he would have believed her, anyways this made for an exciting twist in the storyline, I thought maybe there was hope for forgiveness of kore afterall and that proved to be true.

Spartacus gazing at the map of thrace brought me back to season 1  when he had just gone into battle alongside Glaber and afterwards how they took him as a slave, those were the days, well at least before ensalvement.  But just thinking about how the show has evolved from those days and the days of the arena and batiatus, it has been an awesome ride.

Also it seemed Gannicus finally embraced the leadership position spartacus has been trying to get him to embrace all season. I waited to see what final plan spartacus had up his sleeve, if the promo was any indication I thought part of that plan would have him leaping off a ramp.

I feel like when Crassus gave his little speech to his men there was no heart in it, I think he doesn’t care about the so-called glory of rome, he just wants to  gain respect from rome by beating spartacus, I am not saying there’s anything wrong with his motives but  he’s definitely cloaking his ambitions with that speech.

When I saw the trap spartacus layed for the romans I couldn’t hold in my screams of excitement, then an archer top off, can’t expect any less from the bringer of rain am I right? and of course I knew it wouldn’t shock Crassus as much as it would other romans, it just made it that much more exciting, caesar was visibly shocked though which I found hilarious, you would think his time among them would have taught him that spartacus is no imbecile.

and as if the trench and archers wasn’t enough, our bringer of rain layed those ramps on top of the romans and lunged forth, that my friends proves my earlier prediction from the promo of that being part of the spartacus’ master plan, I didn’t envision all of what occured though, saying it was awesome is an understatement, now I did see crassus look slightly surprised when that started to happen.

Agron showed form with the weapon Nazir fashioned for him, I’m glad he got to stand on the field of battle.

Every time I thought the episode couldn’t get more exciting, another strategy from spartacus rears it’s head, when Gannicus and the men rode in behind crassus I couldn’t stifle my screams of excitement once again, I know all season I’ve been prediciting spartacus’ fall but all these magnificent ideas spartacus came up with made it harder ad harder for me to hold to my opinion, I felt myself clinging to the hope that he would win this battle.

Glad to see that at the end of the day Crassus still kept himself in check and didn’t panick, formidable foe indeed.

The salecian proved himself worthy in battle. RIP.

I bet Crassus never expected beat down off his horse by spartacus, but really he hasn’t underestimated spartacus’ strategy and intelligence all along so why did he underestimate his fighting abilities, I mean spartacus fought other gladiators too not just romans and won, so just because crassus has training as a gladiator means he can defeat spartacus so easily, I mean he’s never even been on the sands of the arena before, let’s face it he’s only fought one person/gladiator to the death.  It was somewhat disappointing to him allow the soldiers to wisk him away after spartacus gave him a flesh wound, what happened to all the confidence he had before and that need to fight spartacus?

I was excited but scared to see the inevitable showdown between gannicus and caeser and also spartacus and crassus because the looming threat of the series staying true to history has been present this whole season.

RIP saxa.

I prepared myself to see a lot of characters I love die in this finale.  As morbid as this sounds better they die than they leave us hanging with some uncertain future for these characters for all eternity.

RIP Naevia.

RIP other dude that I can’t recall your name but you’ve been around since beginning.

Even with the wounds that put spartacus at a disadvantage, I am 100% sure he would have won if the soldiers didn’t come to Crassus’ aid. I’m sure Crassus say his life before his eyes.

Gannicus and Caesar now, Caesar is a fassy, he’s a vag, he wouldn’t even show down with Gannicus by himself.  I must admit I did not see this end for Gannicus, I thought all along he would lead the rebellion in Spartacus’ stead.

I must admit, I know Crassus has his ways but I didn’t expect him to crucify Kore, I probably should have though, I mean he did sentence his own son to decimation for disobeying his command.

RIP Spartacus.

That was an epic finale to an epic series. I am going to miss it dearly.

I love that they showed all past characters in the end credits and also including Andi Witfield.

Enlightened “Agent of Change” Review

Summary of Points

So christa finally had her baby, looks like she didn’t tell anyone about what Amy told her.

I just knew Tyler would fold I knew it, this whole time I was hoping he wouldn’t but it was just a matter of time.  I can’t help but call him a real imbecile right now, I mean what did he think telling Eileen would solve? All it would do is make her pissed at him and he would still lose his job, if he had just stuck it out the story would run and she probably wouldn’t have found out the leak was from him and maybe way down in the future he could have told her.

The scene between Amy and Ziden was pretty of the chain, she really handled herself in there and all his crap just came bubbling to the surface when he realized he was going down.

Even though all of this is Tyler’s fault, I do hope that Eileen forgives him, though I’m somewhat disappointed that she is backing somebody as corrupt as Ziden, I get she is trying to keep her job but if she was knowingly aiding him that’s just not right and it  seriously  makes me wonder what kind of person she is.

I’m not sure what to think abotu Jeff and Amy, I know he told Amy they need to take a break till after the story but I’m wondering if he really wants to be with Amy and also I know Amy still might have residual feelings for Levi but I don’t really think he’s right for her anymore, I could be wrong but that’s what I think right now.

Amy probably shouldn’t have been so quick to confront Christa, especially since she just went into labour, she probably should have left it alone.  I understand why she would think it’s Christa but she shouldn’t  have went to the hospital like that, things like that is what make her look crazy.

This was a good episode, I do hope they really do take down Abeddon and I do hope everything works out for Amy.  After watching the last scene it seems like everything will work out awesomely because as we see the story did run and Eileen went back to Tyler, I hope this show gets renewed for another season, it’s been an awesome 2 seasons so far, so season 3 would be greatly welcomed.

Spartacus: War of The Damned “Blood Brothers” Review

Summary of Points

Agron needs to chill I highly doubt the little man is cheating on him..

I still don’t trust the pirates though it’s like they always have to change up whatever deal they make ever so slightly instead of just sticking to the initial plan..

Yes I knew that Crassus admired spartacus and for good reason because he know spartacus isn’t an imbecile, if I’d want anyone to defeat Spartacus, which I DON’T, but if I wanted that Crassus would be the best person to defeat him, I rate Crassus so much, plus Crassus and Spartacus backgrounds are somewhat similar so I can see where Crassus would admire him..

I swear Crixus is looking like a real imbecile, not to mention Naevia, but she’s been looking like one for a while now, I actually wanted to laugh when I saw his reaction to what Caesar/Lisiscus said about Spartacus getting ready to depart with the Saletians..actually Naevia is pissing me off like Nora is pissing me off in Being Human US, they are so similar it’s not funny..Crixus is blindly listening to Caesar/Lisiscus and he don’t even know him, how quickly he turned his back on Spartacus, this is all Naevia’s doing..

So Spartacus is still trying to convince Gannicus to take a leadership role, I think even though he says he doesn’t want it if Spartacus does fall he would definitely take up the position, if not for Spartacus, he’d do it for the memory of Oenomaus..

Spartacus made a good move taking the grain for Crassus’ soldiers but I didn’t expect any less, also his elaborate rouse that involved taking advantage of Crixus’ somewhat lower level intellect was perfect, Crixus took the bait so easily, this plan sounds like it will definitely work, I’m wondering though if they are going to stay true to the history or not..

I love how Crassus is the only one not underestimating Spartacus and rightly so, gosh darn it I rate this man, and just as I was about to say I feel totally sorry for Tiberius and say how I think Crassus went too far, then Tiberius proceeds to rape his father’s mistress..

So Naevia finally decided to own up to her rubbish and I’m glad Gannicus stuck it to her, because she needed to hear that because she learned some skill in fighting now she’s abusing it and is feeling way too empowered for her own good, she needs to sit back and take a chill pill.

My gosh, Crassus is extremely smart I mean I did not expect that at all, I knew he had some plan but I honestly didn’t expect that ending I mean wow, but I guess I was right about the pirates not being trustworthy…when Crixus flew down to aid Spartacus I was like Yessss and it was all so thrilling, I love the battle scenes in Spartacus and let me tell you I’m not the biggest action fan but Spartacus does it for me..

That final scene when the door was smashed down with fire and the wooden wolf, I was so ecstatic but at the same time freaked out for Spartacus and the others, I have no idea how they are going to get out of all of this but I think it’s a bit early in the season for them to lose, I literally cannot wait till next week, this has been the best episode for the season, I don’t even think I have to mention Caesar, the man is like a cockroach…he showed form against Gannicus and Agron…

Being Human US “One is Silver and The Other Pagan” Review

Summary of Points

I couldn’t help thinking that Sally is a mondo imbecile of a woman for signing away her soul to that witch woman but I can see why she thought she had to make that decision and from now I’m hoping that when the time comes and she dies that there will be some way out of what that witch is planning to do with Sally’s soul which I believe is grind it to dust, I’m still trying to figure out why she is doing that.

That Erin girl is really a backstabber though, Aidan was nothing but nice to her and she plots with that werewold dude to kill him? She’s a piece of work.

I really dislike Nora, I used to like her a long time ago before she went off and left Josh that time but ever since then I just don’t trust her judgement at all and then now just because Aidan is a vampire she never gives him the benefit of the doubt, does she  realize  before she came into the picture both Aidan and Josh were fine and then she comes now trying to own the place and trying to turn Josh against Aidan, she needs to take a serious chill pill and have a seat, she needs to come off her wolfy high horse for just one minute.  So now she assumes that Aidan must have just hit Erin out of nowhere, I can see where she would wonder how Erin could end up in that situation but to assume Aidan did it is just horse crap especially because if Aidan did it why would he stick around and he had blood from the bubble boy so why would he need to trick Erin’s blood especially since he knows it’s toxic. The fact that Nora never considered for a second that Erin did something wrong even though Erin is like a perpetual bad egg confounds me.

Nora crossed the line when she asked Josh to choose between her and Aidan, I seriously don’t think I can go through an episode without wanting to smack this woman, she goes on like she’s so good, like she never killed anybody or hurt anybody when it comes to Aidan, if she kills somebody it’s justified but if Aidan does it can’t be self defense. She is so infuriating.

Something tells me this new vampire chick might meet her maker soon, though I almost hope she doesn’t because she’s the first Vampire I’ve seen in a while aside from Aidan.

So Sally’s friend’s wicca group I’m thinking may be a way to help her with finding out what that other witch might want with her soul after she’s dead and may be able to help her I’m hoping, I should stop calling the other woman a witch because she did say she wasn’t a witch so I’m going to call her a necromancer (but isn’t a necromancer still a type of witch?) doesn’t matter anyways we’ll find out in die time what she is. I just hoped Sally meeting the wicca group wouldn’t turn into something bad, too bad it didn’t seem to really help Sally much.

It would be awesome if Aidan hooked up with Nora’s friend but I know that wouldn’t fly with Nora, with her high horse. Did I mention how much she irritates me? She is so  judgmental and she has no right to be. I’m glad Aidan asked her out anyways, because Nora needs to just go take a pre-assigned seat.

What I don’t get is why Aidan is so bad at compulsion.

That werewold dude needs to die a horrible death, he is so hopped up on killing all the vampires that he killed one of his own kind, he is a big hypocrite, all day long he talks about the pack and all of that and he goes and kills one of his own just to kill one vampire who isn’t even detrimental to him or werewolves at all.

So apparently Sally is a Zombie now, that is so not cool, I feel for her, I can’t wait to see what occurs next week, I was dreading that something  like  this would happen because that necromancer woman just doesn’t seem trustworthy at all.

Enlightened “No Doubt” Review

Summary of Points

So looking at the first scene in this episode it would appear as if Amy chose Jeff over Levi.

I felt like Dougie could cause some issue for the whole plan to take down Abbedon because it’s like he doesn’t know how to lay low, I mean come on, smoking a joint and playing loud music in the office?? come on Dougie..but can’t say I expected better, he is Dougie..

I thought if anybody would crack the story wide open it would be Tyler or Dougie, especially Tyler since the beginning he’s been negative about the whole situation but Amy had to open her mouth and tell Christa and honestly Christa has proven to be somewhat of a backstabber so let’s hope she doesn’t say anything I doubt she’ll stay quiet though.

I knew Levi wouldn’t take it well that Amy had moved on, I sincerely believe he doesn’t have the right to react the way he did to her because she’s been waiting for him to straighten up for years and he didn’t furthermore he should have been doing it for himself not just for Amy, I’m hoping he doesn’t jump off the deep end but he seems so fickle it’s highly likely he will.

Jeff just seems not as committed as Amy, so I’m still skeptical about him, I mean I could be wrong and that’s just how he is but he just seems somewhat distant, I’m still hoping he doesn’t hurt Amy and that everything doesn’t blow up in her face it just feels like the calm before the storm, like everything is going too great and it’s going slowly downhill starting with the Levi issue..

I’m anxious about Amy’s meeting with Charles but yunno what it would sell the illusion that Amy and Tyler had nothing to do with the story and I’m all for that.

I did like Dougie’s speech, minus the expletives, it was pretty good..

Tyler is a bit too happy to be with Eileen man is basically her echo at this rate if they ever break up he’d be more than crushed.

So looks like my anxiety about the meeting was justified, looks like Charles might sway Amy, I’m pretty sure she might contemplate what he said and think it will be a good position but she needs to think about the fact that the company is still corrupt, I’m hoping she doesn’t lose sight of that but this looks grim and I’m also wondering about Jeff, if he knows something that he’s not letting on about Charles..Well at least Jeff took her out of that mindset but now I’m wondering if that’s even good or bad.

I kinda figured something would occur between Amy and Jeff, this way at least it doesn’t sound like he’s 100% breaking up with her but who knows what he is scheming, I just didn’t want Amy to end up hurt, which is what occurred. I hope everything gets sorted next week and the expose is finally released.

Being Human “The Greater Good” Review

Summary of Points

I’m not ashamed to admit I think Rook (the vampire sanitation/ clean up dude) is hot, his eyes are so lovely, I was so happy he didn’t kill himself because I still want him around, aside from his good looks he’s hilarious in an odd way.

Crumb is a real psycopath, I’m sure Hal regrets making him every day, it was just because of that one moment of weakness, I hope this doesn’t cause him to back track, that scene with Crumb and Alan was so wrong, especially when Crumb came to the door, I was like, the heck is with this yute, I understand he was treated badly at his workplace before but my gosh, and I think it’s Rook’s fault he has gotten to this stage because even though he was bad before, allowing him to kill his sister and niece was just not right.

I have to hand it to Hal though, I actually didn’t think he would be able to convince Crumb to leave all the killing behind and go with him.

I didn’t think there could be someone more dense than Tom in the show but Bobby takes the cake, together plenty jokes will be had, I mean Bobby makes Tom look extra smart.

When Bobby said “Mr. Rook always says I’m a savage and deadly predator that must be contained, he must be right, he drives a  Lexus” I almost died laughing..

Part of why I love watching this show is the fact that they seamlesslessly blend comedy in with this supernatural show, the scenes with Hal helping Crumb curb his vampiric tendencies were hilarious to say the least but I do hope it all works out.

The house actually feels like a home again with the addition of Bobby and Crumb which is a good thing but if the past is any indication, the good doesn’t last for long, especially with all the rubbish the Devil is doing at the hotel, with making people kill themselves, etc.  I’m worried for Tom, I have a bad feeling he’s going to cause Tom to kill himself, because we know Tom is really gullible.  I’m hoping Hal catches on to him before he gets to far with his plans.

For some reason I thought Crumb and Alex might hit it off even though he can be somewhat of a creaton, but it turned out I was wrong, he let out all the crap tendencies, that disqualified him for sure. I mean if he’s this horrid on a date with a ghost,  imagine  him with a live person.

I feel sorry for Rook, He really wants back his old job and it just seems like dead ends in that regard and if course the devil swoops in at the opportune time, when he is at one of his low moments.

Crumb’s reaction to Bobby as a werewolf was the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen, but I do admit I was slightly scared too.  I thought though since Bobby is plump that when he transformed into a werewolf he would be a plump werewolf.

So I was so busy worrying the devil was going to manipulate Tom that I didn’t even contemplate that he’d do it to Bobby.

Exactly as I predicted, the good wouldn’t last for long, and turns out Crumb really isn’t good for Hal at all, he caused him to relapse.  It’s pretty crappy that Bobby died, the devil needs to pay and I think maybe Crumb could have been redeemable if he wasn’t so damn grim because of him Hal has relapsed, not sure how the others are going to deal with him now, maybe Alex might help him get back on track. I think she may have realized that the devil is the one who has been causing the suicides.

What I’m looking forward to next week is to see if Alex and Hal’s relationship develops into something more because they seem to have gotten a bit closer, though I’m not sure how it’s going to work since Hal seems to have relapsed, if everything were to go my way I’d hope that his feelings for her would help him to get back on the right track.
